SRINAGAR, JULY 26: The BJP Kashmir unit celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with great enthusiasm and reverence across the Kashmir valley.

BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today paid a rich tribute to the Army jawans who sacrificed their life during the Kargil operation and said that the nation would always remain indebted to them for protecting their motherland.

Addressing a gathering in Ramban district, Chugh said the Kargil operation has completed 25 years but the nefarious designs of Pakistan are still fresh in the minds of the people. He said the Yuva Morcha of the BJP would carry the  “Vijay Jyoti” to all parts of the J&K to observe the Vijay Diwas and serve a warning to Pakistan against plotting subversive  designs on the Indian soil.

In the Valley, the main program was organized at the BJP head office, J-53 Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar. The event, held to honour the bravery and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil War, witnessed the participation of many BJP leaders and Karyakartas.

The programme commenced with paying tribute to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation. Senior BJP leaders addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the indomitable spirit of the Indian soldiers. BJP leaders emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by the soldiers and the need to support the families of the martyrs. They also spoke about the strategic importance of the Kargil victory and how it continues to inspire the nation.

The event also featured speeches by other prominent leaders, including BJP Media Incharge Kashmir Adv Sajid Yousuf Shah, General Secretary Minority Morcha Bhat Imtiyaz, Prabhari J&K Minority Morcha Sheikh Bashir, Senior Leader Sheikh Rashid, NGO Sampark Incharge Saba Bhat who shared their experiences and the heroic tales of the Kargil War. The atmosphere was charged with patriotism as the participants chanted slogans in honour of the armed forces.

The programme concluded with a pledge to uphold the values and integrity of the nation, followed by a collective singing of the national anthem. Refreshments were served to all attendees, marking the end of a solemn and inspiring event.
