Yoto Chizo from Nagaland has qualified for the upcoming 6th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games (AIMAG).

AIMAG is a pancontinental multi-sport event among athletes from all over Asia.

Chizo will be part of Indian Muay Thai team for this AIMAG, to be held in Thailand from November 21-30, 2024.

Chizo confirmed his spot for AIMAG after selection trials held in Jorhat on July 18, 2024. He will be playing Under 71 kg category.

22 years old Yoto, son of Razuchi Chizo from Khutsokhuno village, Tizu area of Phek district, will also be participating in the forthcoming National Olympic in Wushu 2024.

This event have been scheduled for September 21-26 in Uttarakhand

Earlier, he bagged Silver in 67 kg at UMAI (United Muaythai Association of India) Federation Cup held at Agartala, Tripura from December 14-16, 2022.

He also secured silver medal at National Muaythai Championship held at Chennai in 2023.

He won Gold in boxing during Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2022 held on August 22 to 27, 2022.

He secured Gold in Wushu at North East Games 2024 held from March 18 to 23 in Nagaland. 

Chizo secured Gold in male under 23 years category in 71 kg at UMAI National Muaythai Championship 2024, held in Assam from May 25 to 30, 2024.

He represented India at East Asian Muaythai Championships and won bronze medal in Men’s 71 kgs category, held from November 23 to 26, 2023 under the aegis of Muaythai Association of Hong Kong, China.

Chizo represented Nagaland at National Muaythai Championship held at Guwahati in June 2024 and brought home Gold medal.
