Who do you think is most responsible for the poor quality and delays in road completion in Nagaland? Give reasons

State Government and officials:
•    When it comes to Public Works, the State government must be held responsible. The blame cannot be put on the contractors and the public. The government officials must hold regular briefings and must conduct verification checks to see that the contractors are doing the work according to the DPR. There can be no excuse at all. The buck stops with the government.
•    Because if the government officials in all the departments do their duties honestly then even contractors cannot cheat.
•    State government and officials because they cut off 40-50% of the sanction amount

Contractors:

General Public:
•    Public should raise their voice against poor quality of work/ workmanship. Should complain, to the authorities concerned.
•    General Public. Because they keep electing a government which can’t even build roads properly.
•    General public. Because they senselessly keep voting for those who couldn’t do anything for road and infrastructure development for decades together.

General Public:
•    The poor quality and delayed in any developmental projects (eg: Road) in Nagaland could be categories/lies in 3 mafias. 1. Political mafia 2. Organizational mafia 3. Self-profit Unions & uneducated public. Solution: Responsible govt, Strong Unions, and Public Consciousness.
•    Naga Civil societies and individuals latency to not question and think, is a big stumbling block, unless we start doing that we and our society will devolve instead of evolving!
•    Everyone should be responsible at the moment with the affairs of Nagaland state.
•    Taxation and demands by the UGs
•    All of the above
•    Poor road building practices and corruption
•    No Nagaland road World class… no complaints
•    There should be a reason for All the above: I go for OTHERS, let me say why? I knew of a relative who took road contract some decades ago. It was know the, the Nagaland State government and officials (Engineer, head engineer, and other officials within the concerned government, ask for their percentage from the Contractor – The contractor ends up paying the concerned officials certain amount as percentage – the contractors have to face various village, student and other unions who indirectly ask for some cut, then comes all the NNPGS and other money- loving- gun- brandishing UGs! All asking for their cut! Others paid their cut to pass tender to release bill!
•    Kindly mention – National Workers in your options too
