New Vande Bharat Express: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off three new Vande Bharat trains for Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka today. PM Modi will flag off these new trains between Meerut-Lucknow, Madurai-Bengaluru and Chennai-Nagercoil through video conferencing at 12.30 pm. Meerut City-Lucknow Vande Bharat will save travel time by about one hour, Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat will save travel time by two hours and Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat will save travel time by one and a half hours.

According to Southern Railway, the Prime Minister will flag off the Dr. MGR Chennai Central – Nagercoil Vande Bharat and Madurai – Bengaluru Cantonment Vande Bharat Express through video conference. The Vande Bharat Express running to Nagercoil will depart from Dr. MGR Chennai Central station only on the inaugural day but its regular service will be from Chennai Egmore (Chennai Egmore). It will be operated on all days of the week except Wednesday.

Train number 20627 Vande Bharat Express will leave Chennai Egmore at 5 am and reach Nagercoil at 1.50 pm the same day. It will stop at Tambaram, Villupuram, Tiruchirapalli, Dindugal, Madurai, Kovilpatti and Tiruneveli before reaching Nagercoil Junction. On the return journey, it will leave Nagercoil Junction as train number 20628 at 2.20 pm and reach Chennai Egmore at 11 pm.

The Vande Bharat service between Madurai and Bengaluru Cantonment will operate six days a week except Tuesday. As train number 20671, it will leave Madurai at 5.15 am and reach Bengaluru Cantonment at 1 pm.

According to Southern Railway, the train will leave Bengaluru Cantonment at 1.30 pm and reach Madurai at 9.45 pm, stopping at Dindugal, Tiruchirapalli, Karur, Namakkal, Salem and Krishnarajapuram on both sides.
