The “Welcome India” roadshow series concluded successfully on August 3, 2024.

The roadshow series is a collaborative effort between the Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives), the Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO), and the National Hotel and Guesthouse Association of Maldives (NHGAM).

The three-city roadshow, which spanned New Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore, aimed to reinforce the Maldives’ position as a premier holiday destination for Indian travelers.

A total of 24 tourism industry partners from the Maldives joined the three organizations in the roadshow series.

The roadshow served the purpose of revitalizing India’s tourist market in the Maldives, as it was the top source market for the island nation for three consecutive years from 2020 until 2023.

The roadshow series provided a crucial platform to engage with key travel trade stakeholders and media, while MMPRC actively promote the Maldives during the entire run of the series, prioritizing showcasing the destination’s unique attributes.

The initiative also consisted of B2B networking and dialogue with collaborating organizations. An exciting raffle giveaway was held at each roadshow, where winners were selected to receive holiday prizes sponsored by Kandima Maldives, Nova Maldives, Arena Hotels, Kaani Hotels, Villa Nautica, Sirru Fen Fushi, Holiday Inn Kandooma, and Alila Kothaifaru Maldives.
