The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reports that the monsoon trough is currently active and positioned south of its usual location at mean sea level. A depression that was affecting Northeast Rajasthan and surrounding areas has moved west-northwest and has now weakened into a well-marked low-pressure area over central Pakistan. This system had further diminished to a low-pressure area over the same region. An east-west trough extends from the low-pressure area in central Pakistan to eastern Bihar at lower tropospheric levels. This system is expected to bring significant rainfall across various regions in the coming days.
