The Indian Meteorological Department in its latest report has warned about a Deep Depression over southwest Bihar and northwest Jharkhand. Under its impact, isolated heavy rainfall is expected to occur over West Madhya Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh. Moreover, isolated extremely heavy downpours will likely happen over Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, and East Uttar Pradesh.

IMD issues red and orange alert for these regions

The IMD has issued a red alert for Madhya Maharashtra, West Madhya Pradesh, and East Rajasthan. On the other hand, an orange alert has been declared for Bihar, Coastal Karnataka, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkon, Goa, Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka and East Madhya Pradesh.

Weather Forecast for Southern Regions

An intense shower is likely to happen at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka from August 4 to August 6, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Mahe will get it from August 4 to August 5, and South Interior Karnataka on August 4.

Heavy rainfall prediction for Northeast and Eastern India

Assam and Meghalaya are expected to have high-intensity rainfall on August 6 and August 7. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Mizoram, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim from August 4 to August 10. Additionally, isolated heavy precipitation is forecast for Jharkhand on August 6 and August 7, Odisha may experience it on August 6 and August 8 and Gangetic West Bengal will have it on August 7.

Heavy rainfall warning for Central, Western & Northwest India

Isolated immense heavy rainfall is expected to be experienced at Goa and Konkan from August 4 to August 7. Madhya Maharashtra will get it from August 4 to August 6. Likewise, a heavy downpour is expected at isolated places over Marathwada on August 4. The Northwest region of India will also have similar weather conditions. There is a high chance of isolated heavy rainfall over Punjab on August 4 and August 7, Jammu-Kashmir will have it from August 4 to August 5. Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand will experience it from August 4 to August 10. Chandigarh, Haryana will have it on August 4 and August 7 and Punjab will receive it on August 4 and August 7.
