A woman traveling on a motorbike faced harassment by a group of men on a flooded road in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The disturbing incident, captured in a viral video, shows the woman and a man on a bike being targeted by a group of men on a waterlogged street in the state capital. According to media reports, the incident took place under the Taj Hotel bridge in Lucknow during broad daylight. The video shows a group of men surrounding the bike on the waterlogged road, obstructing the couple’s path. The men began splashing water on the riders, impeding their progress through the already inundated street.

The situation escalated when some men attempted to pull the bike from behind, causing the duo to lose balance and fall on the flooded road amidst heavy rainfall. The visuals also show a man allegedly groping the woman before forcefully pulling the bike. Fortunately, a person came to the woman’s aid after she fell from the bike, assisting her to stand up.

Several social media users on X expressed their outrage at the men’s behaviour and criticised the incident.

“This nuisance is not a part of Lucknow’s culture…! You can yourself guess how high the spirits of the miscreants are in Yogi Raj by watching the video. The video has gone viral, now maybe Baba’s police will take some action….!,” a user wrote, sharing videos of the incident.

In response to the video, the Lucknow Police on X said that the cops are trying to identify the accused on the basis of CCTV footage. “The Gomti Nagar police station immediately reached the spot and dispersed the crowd. On the basis of CCTV footage, the people creating chaos have been identified and action is being taken against them. At present, the situation is peaceful,” it said.
