Video: Woman riding pillion falls from bike after being harassed by mob on flooded road in Lucknow

New Delhi: In a disgustful incident that has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow, a group of men harassed a woman riding pillion on a motorcycle as the bike waded through a flooded road amid heavy rain. The video of the incident has gone viral. It took place under the Taj Hotel bridge near Ambedkar Park.

The men started splashing rainwater on the duo on the bike as they tried to move ahead on the waterlogged road. Both got drenched. As the bike navigated its way slowly, the group tried to stop it from getting away and pulled it back. As a result, the man and the woman fell down from the vehicle. The woman got up with help from the man and another person. After switching off the ignition, the man raises objection.

The process to identify those involved in harassing the man and the woman has been initiated by the police. The police have assured strict action against the culprits.

Police Commissioner of Lucknow stated: “Lucknow Police has taken immediate cognisance of the incident. All the available video footage is being examined to identify the unruly elements and three teams have been formed for this work. Prompt, strict action will be taken against all the culprits.”
