A female passenger assaulted a female staff member at the Air India Express counter in Mumbai airport, leading to the passenger being handed over to the police, according to a source. The incident occurred on Sunday.
“On 1st September, a passenger at Mumbai airport misbehaved with a staff member of our ground operations partner. The Duty Manager immediately informed CISF, and the passenger was handed over to the police as per Standard Operating Procedures,” an Air India Express spokesperson stated on Tuesday.
According to the source, both the passenger and the staff member involved were female.

Earlier on Sunday, a 23-year-old woman became unruly and attacked an Air India Express check-in staff member at Mumbai airport during a dispute over priority boarding. According to Air India Express, the passenger was handed over to the Mumbai police.
The incident occurred when the passenger was asked to wait while check-in procedures were being completed for another traveller, leading her to assault the female staff member.
The passenger, who had opted for priority boarding, became abusive and physically assaulted the airline staff.
