Bhubaneswar: Union Minister Jual Oram’s wife Jhingia Oram died of dengue at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar late on Saturday night. She was 58.

She was undergoing treatment for dengue for the last few days. She succumbed to the mosquito-borne disease while undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Speaker Surama Padhi and several Ministers and leaders paid their last respects to the departed soul at her residence at Lumbini Vihar in Bhubaneswar.

“Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep grief over the demise of Jhingia Oram, wife of Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram. Majhi paid his last respects to Late Oram at his residence in Bhubaneswar. The Chief Minister expressed deep condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal soul,” the CMO posted on X.

Her body has been taken to Sundergarh where the last rites will be performed.
