Two Srinagar Residents Killed, Two Injured in North Kashmir Road Accident

SRINAGAR: A tragic accident in north Kashmir’s Handwara area of Kupwara district on Monday claimed the lives of two persons including an MBBS student and left two others wounded.

An official said that an accident occurred on Handwara-Bangus road at Reshiwari when the vehicle carrying the victims lost control and fell into the gorge. In the incident, two occupants lost their lives while two others received multiple injuries.

Following the incident, police took cognizance and started the investigation into the matter. “We received two brought dead individuals and two injured persons. The injured have been referred to the Srinagar hospital for the specialized treatment due to severity of their injuries,” Dr. Aijaz, Deputy Medical Superintendent, Associated Hospital GMC Handwara said.

He identified the deceased as Saba Shafi Baba and Aleeza of Pantha Chowk of Srinagar outskirts.
