Lucknow: In a bizarre incident, two men bit off the flesh of a shopkeeper’s son in Lucknow’s Hussainganj after failed loot attempt. The two miscreants allegedly went to the shop of Lakshmi Devi Sahu to loot it. However, when they could not do so, they attacked the son of the shop owner after a scuffle, police said on Thursday.

According to police, Lakshmi Devi Sahu runs a ration shop along with her her son Shekhar Sahu and daughter Rita Sahu. The accused, identified as Imran and Mojjam ,arrived at her shop on Sunday evening around 5.30pm and tried to loot it. The duo failed to loot money, they bit off her son’s chest and threatened to kill him. When the woman raised an alarm, locals gathered at her shop. Sensing danger, the accused fled the scene, police said.

Accused on run, FIR lodged

Following the incident, the victim lodged a police complaint. Additional DCP, central zone, Manisha Singh said an FIR under relevant charges of BNS, including criminal assault, was registered on Thursday and that they were making efforts to nab the two accused who are presently on the run. Further investigation into the matter is underway, a senior police officer said.
