Traffic Advisory Issued for 25th Muharram Procession

SRINAGAR: Due to the 25th Muharram procession, vehicular movement from Harthrat to Narbal along the Srinagar-Baramulla highway will be affected from 10 am to 8 pm on Thursday.

A travel advisory has advised motorists to avoid unnecessary travel on this road during the procession. To ensure hindrance-free movement of vehicular traffic during the procession, the following routes will be implemented:

Srinagar-bound vehicles from Kupwara, Handwara, and Sopore shall be allowed via Hygam – Sumbal – HMT Srinagar.

Srinagar-bound vehicles from Baramulla and Uri shall be allowed via Hamrey Gate Pattan – Sumbal – HMT Srinagar.

Srinagar-bound vehicles from Hamrey and Pattan shall be allowed via Harthrath Bridge – Khanpath – Shadipora – HMT Srinagar.

North Kashmir-bound HMVs shall be allowed via Narbal – Magam – Kungumdara – Khore – Hanjiwera – Pattan.

North Kashmir-bound LMVs shall be allowed via Narbal – Kanihama – Nooripora – Archanderhama – Gund Khoja Qasim – Jeel Bridge – Pattan.
