The ICC said that Mongolia should arrest Russian leader Vladimir Putin once he enters the country. Putin’s visit, expected on Tuesday, will mark his first trip to a member nation of the ICC since the court issued an arrest warrant for him in March 2023. Meanwhile, CBI and Kolkata police came face to face Friday (Aug 30) as the central agency claimed the crime scene of the Kolkata horror case was tampered with. Kolkata police were quick to retaliate as CBI’s allegations directly raised a question of their efficiency. In other news, India’s Assam scrapped the two-hour break for Friday prayers in a bid “to improve productivity and move away from colonial-era traditions.”
