New Delhi: The Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) has started the online registration process for the Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy – National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (AYUSH NEET UG) 2024. Interested candidates who satisfy all the prerequisites set by the authority can apply online for AYUSH NEET UG counselling 2024 through the official website at aaccc.gov.in. The AYUSH NEET UG 2024 counselling is conducted for admission to the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine & Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) and Bachelor of Pharmacy -Ayurveda (B Pharm(Ay)) courses.
What is a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)?
The Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a 5-year undergraduate program in Ayurveda. The course combines both traditional principles of Ayurveda and modern medical science. Aspirants enrolled in this course will be trained in various aspects of Ayurveda including herbal medicine, anatomy, surgery and physiology. One must have passed class 12 in the science stream with PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) subjects. The admission will be based on performance in the NEET UG entrance exam.
