Three calls, an attempt to hide the truth… What is in the leaked phone tape of the Kolkata case? What did the victim’s father say about his voice – hindustannewshub.com
Kolkata Doctor Rape-Murder: The father of the trainee doctor in the Kolkata case has denied the alleged phone tape leak. According to the father of the raped and murdered female doctor, he does not know how the audio recording of the phone calls made by the officials of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on the morning of August 9 got leaked. He also said that the family will not take responsibility for the leak. When journalists asked if the voice heard in the phone call was his, the victim’s father said that you are saying so, but I don’t think so. He further said that this issue will not affect the investigation. This audio leak has increased the problems for the hospital.
According to the claim, the woman who claimed to be the assistant superintendent of the hospital called the victim’s parents three times from the same number in an interval of about 30 minutes. In this, they were asked to reach the hospital immediately. The first call was made at 10:53 am. In this, the woman tells the victim’s father, ‘I am calling from RG Kar Hospital. Can you come here immediately?’ In response to this, the father says, ‘Why, what happened?’ In response to this, the woman says, ‘Your daughter is a little sick. We have admitted her to the hospital. Can you come a little early?’ After this, when the parents ask for more information, the woman calling says, ‘Only the doctor can give complete information. We just got your number and we called you. Please come quickly. The patient has been admitted after falling ill. When you people come, the doctor will tell the rest of the things.’
During this phone call, the victim’s mother’s voice is heard in the background. She is asking if she has fever? At the same time, the woman calling again says, come quickly. After this, the father’s voice is heard, ‘Is her condition very serious?’ In response to this, it is said from the other side, ‘Yes, she is very serious. Please come quickly.’ This phone call lasts for about 1 minute 11 seconds. Live Hindustan does not confirm these leaked audio calls. After five minutes, the same caller calls again. The second phone call is about 46 seconds long. In this, she says that the victim’s condition is very bad. Try to reach as soon as possible. When the father wants to know about his daughter’s condition, once again the doctors are mentioned.
In the second phone call, the victim’s father wants to know who the woman calling is. In response, the woman says that I am the Assistant Superintendent. I am not a doctor. We are in the emergency ward with your daughter. You come and meet us quickly. On this, the mother says from behind that what happened to her? She was on duty. In response, she is again asked to come as soon as possible. In the last phone call, the victim’s death is mentioned. However, the truth is still hidden. The woman who made the first two calls says, ‘Look, we were already telling you. Your daughter may have committed suicide. She may have even died. The police have come here. All the people from the hospital are present here. We are asking you to come as soon as possible.’ This last call is of 28 seconds.
The way in which in this phone call she is first a little ill and then admitted in the emergency in a critical condition, the possibility of suicide is being raised, has raised questions in the minds of the investigators. The question is, was a suicide plot being prepared to hide the crime? An officer said that it is also worth noting that much before the call reached the parents, the unnatural death of the victim had already been written in the GD entry.
One of the protesting students asked why the hospital management was giving such evasive information to the parents despite knowing about such a gruesome crime. Later, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Indira Mukherjee said that the alleged clip only confirms the police’s claim about who informed the parents about the ‘suicide’. She said, ‘We have always been saying that Kolkata Police did not inform the parents that the victim had committed suicide.’
