is significant potential,” said Khun Tansita Akraritpirom, Head of
Commercial for Thai AirAsia. “We have seen considerable growth overall on the
international sector with our capacity now close to that of 2019.
This is in part due to positive measures by the government such as
visa free entry and fifth freedom negotiations, which have made
travel easier and more cost effective, creating an opportunity for
travelers to explore new experiences in different countries.”
AirAsia Thailand is also expected to
unveil three more international routes in August, bringing it to a
total of six new routes announcements in the third quarter of
2024. The expansion will focus on India and ASEAN markets.
