Telangana: Hyderabad likely to be overcast, IMD predicts light rain

Hyderabad will likely be overcast with hazy skies on Friday. Light rain or drizzles accompanied with sustainable surface winds upto 30-40 kmph is very likely in all districts of Telangana, India Meteorological Department in Hyderabad said.

Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 23 and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.

Rain to continue in Andhra Pradesh:

Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority has said that heavy rains will occur in AP including  in Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri and Eluru districts.

Light rain is expected in some parts of Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, Palnadu, Prakasam, Nandyala and Kurnool districts, it said.

Weather experts said that heavy flood across Srisailam, Jurala of Krishna district is likely over the next 24 hours. Heavy flood across Godavari is likely as well due to flooding and rain in Upper catchment areas of Karnataka, Maharashtra, Independent weather forecaster T Balaji said.

The water levels in Godavari reached 48 feet in Bhadrachalam and a second danger warning was issued on Thursday evening.

Strong surface winds with speed of 30-40 kmph is likely at isolated places North coastal AP, Yanam, South coastal AP and Rayalaseema.

In the last few days, streams and bends are overflowing in many districts. The flood flow continued in the Krishna and Godavari basins.

Meanwhile, AP Congress Committee president YS Sharmila on Thursday urged CM Chandrababu Naidu to release funds for farmers hit by floods in the state and take steps to desilt drains and canals.
