Suicide Bid Leaves Techie’s Parents Critical; Motive Remains Elusive | Odisha
Bhubaneswar: A day after a couple and their son attempted suicide and were rescued in unconscious condition from their rented house at CDA Sector-6 in Cuttack, Markatnagar Police began an investigation into it.
Soumya Ranjan Panda, a software engineer working in Bengaluru, and his parents, Umacharan Panda and Sarojini Panda, are currently undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital.
According to initial reports, the trio was rescued from their rented house in an unconscious state on Thursday night. Soumya Ranjan’s condition is stable, while his parents’ condition is stated to be critical and they are receiving critical care in the hospital’s ICU.
The motive behind this drastic act is still unknown. Markatnagar police, meanwhile, have initiated an investigation into the matter to uncover the circumstances that led the couple and their son to attempt suicide.
