Preparation for 34th Nagaland State Taekwondo C’hip 2024 at Phek.

The stage is set for 34th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship 2024, starting from September 2 at Phek town under the theme “ Be the Best”

The event will be hosted by Phek District Taekwondo Association (PDTA) and organized by Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) in collaboration with Department of Youth Resource & Sports (DYRS), Nagaland.

The championship is co-sponsored by Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), District Administration Phek and SANKALP-District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) under  ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.’

So far, 11 districts have confirmed their participation including DYRS team.

NTA president Pele Khezhie and officials from DYRS arrived Phek today to supervise the conduct of the championship.  

The inaugural function has been scheduled at 12:00 noon on September 2.

KG Kenye, Minister for Power & Parliamentary Affairs and Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, MLA & Leader of NPF Legislature Party will grace the occasion as the special guest and guest of honour respectively.

NTA president Pele Khezhie will deliver presidential address while short speech will be delivered by Kethosituo Sekhose, Director, Youth Resources & Sports, Nagaland.

Greeting will be shared by Nezosa Tetseo, president Phek District Sports Association.

The function will be chaired by Seyieveto Lohe, councillor Phek Town Committee while welcome address will be delivered by PDTA president Nuyi Hoshi.  

Meanwhile, Phek Deputy Commissioner John Tsulise Sangtam will be the valedictory guest on September 3.
