The country’s first Namo Bharat train started operating from Sahibabad to Meerut Dakshin (Partapur) on Sunday. This has made the journey of passengers going to Meerut easier. The train, which ran at a speed of 160 km, covered the distance of 42 km in 30 minutes. The train will run daily from 6 am to 10 pm.
The first train for Meerut South left Sahibabad station at 1:52 pm. Passengers travelled from Sahibabad to Meerut South by purchasing a ticket of Rs 110. The maximum speed of the train was 160 kmph. Nine stations are covered from Sahibabad to Meerut South. The one-way fare of the Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad to Meerut South is Rs 110 for standard class. Rs 90 will have to be paid for standard class up to Meerut South.
The train will run till 10 pm. Namo Bharat trains will be available for passengers from 6 am to 10 pm on the entire section from Sahibabad to Meerut South. The first train in both directions will leave at 6 am and the last train will leave Sahibabad and Meerut South at 10 pm.
