New Delhi: Simple Energy, an electric vehicle start-up from India, has announced an expansion of its retail presence by opening six new showrooms, named ‘Simple Stores’ within the next month. This development aligns with the company’s broader strategy to establish a strong foothold in the Indian electric vehicle market, with plans to open 45 dealerships nationwide by the end of the financial year.

Simple Energy Opens New Stores: Store Location
The new showrooms will be located in key cities, including Vijayawada, Bangalore, Pune, and Goa. The first store will open in Vijayawada on 25th August, followed by three showrooms in Bangalore’s JP Nagar, Rajajinagar, and Marathahalli on 29th August, 31st August, and 2nd September, respectively. The showroom located in Panjim, Goa will open on 7th September, whereas Pune’s Kharadi showroom will follow on 11th September.
Simple Energy’s Strategy
Simple Energy’s retail expansion is designed to offer customers an immersive experience with the brand’s electric scooters, particularly the Simple One and the more affordable Simple Dot One. These showrooms are designed meticulously by the brand to reflect its focus on innovation and sustainability, providing customers with a hands-on opportunity to explore their offerings.
Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, expressed his enthusiasm for the new showrooms, stating, “We’re excited to open the doors to the Simple Stores, where the future of mobility comes to life. These spaces are designed to not only showcase our offerings but also to provide an immersive experience that connects our customers with the innovation and sustainability at the heart of our brand.”
The Simple One and Dot One electric scooters are, currently being delivered in Bengaluru as part of its starting phase. Simple Energy has also highlighted its commitment to in-house production, claiming that 95 percent of its scooter components are produced internally. The company’s production facility in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu, spans an impressive 200,000 square feet and includes a dedicated motor manufacturing line, making it the only original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in India with this capability.
