Sikkim CM Meets U-13 Girls State Football Team, Wishes Them Luck For National Championship
Gangtok, Aug 30: Sikkim Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang-Golay met with the U-13 girls state football team, who will represent the state for the first time in the Sub-Junior National Championship in Madhya Pradesh.
The Chief Minister expressed pride in the players and encouraged them to perform well and make the state proud. He also acknowledged the team’s coaches and management, including Head Coach Urgen Pintso Sherpa, Assistant Coach Prikila Tamang, Team Manager Samten Doma Lepcha, and Physiotherapist Yashna Chettri.
The team, who underwent coaching at Jautar Stadium in Soreng district, thanked the Chief Minister for his support and guidance. The management expressed their gratitude for his encouragement of football in the state.
The U-13 girls state football team will compete in the Sub-Junior National Championship, marking a historic first for Sikkim in this category.
