In a collaborative effort to boost financial inclusion and support the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Nagaland, the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) and the Business Association of Nagaland (BAN) organised a credit outreach program at The Magnus Hotel in Mokokchung on August 1.

Bhanu Prakash Verma, General Manager of SIDBI Guwahati, welcomed participants, while Suresh Kumar Rai, Assistant General Manager from Dimapur, presented SIDBI’s credit facilities and discussed MSME credit needs, best practices, and credit worthiness.

The programme saw participation from over 30 youths and MSME representatives. The interactive session provided a platform for attendees to engage with SIDBI officials, gain insights into available credit options, and seek guidance on navigating the financial landscape to secure necessary support.

Key takeaways from the event included the various credit facilities SIDBI offers for MSMEs, the importance of best practices in improving credit worthiness, and SIDBI’s commitment to promoting financial inclusion in Nagaland.
The event was a success, with plans for future initiatives to support MSMEs in the region.
