Security Forces Dismantle Unauthorized Bunkers In Manipur, Intensify Measures Across Districts

Imphal, Aug 12: In recent operations aimed at bolstering security in Manipur, security forces dismantled two unauthorized bunkers located in L. Phainom Village and Bunglon Village within the Churachandpur District. These actions were part of a broader effort involving search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas of both hill and valley districts.

According to a statement from the Manipur Control Room, the movement of 336 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-2 has been effectively managed. Enhanced security measures have been implemented in all vulnerable locations, with security convoys ensuring the safe passage of vehicles through sensitive stretches.

Furthermore, a total of 105 Nakas (checkpoints) have been established across various districts in Manipur, covering both hill and valley areas. In connection with ongoing security efforts, police have detained 306 individuals for violations throughout the state.
