RJD reached Supreme Court in reservation case
Lalu Prasad Yadav’s party Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has reached the Supreme Court against the decision of Patna High Court in the matter of increasing the reservation quota to 65% in Bihar. Let us tell you that some time ago the High Court had canceled the law to increase the reservation for the deprived, tribal and backward classes from 50 percent to 65 percent.
Actually, after the caste census in Bihar, the Bihar government had increased the reservation from 50 to 65%. A bill was also passed in the assembly regarding this. However, a few days later, the Patna High Court repealed this law. After this, the Bihar government challenged the decision of the High Court in the Supreme Court. Now RJD has also knocked the door of the Supreme Court in this matter. The Chief Justice’s bench will hear the RJD’s petition today.
