People’s travel in Lucknow will be difficult today. Actually, cab drivers are demanding payment of Rs 20 per km from the companies. Due to this, Ola and Uber cab drivers will not run their vehicles today. Cab drivers are on strike. Cab drivers allege that cab companies reduced the rates instead of increasing them. They also demand that drivers’ insurance and driver helpline number should be started.

A large number of app based taxis are operating in the capital Lucknow. These include Ola-Uber as well as other cab companies. There is a one day strike of the Online Cab Association. The cab drivers are protesting by uniting at the protest site. The cab drivers are protesting for many demands including demanding increase in the fixed rate per kilometer from the online cab companies, driver insurance, helpline number for drivers. Hundreds of cab drivers have gathered with their vehicles in Vrindavan Sector 15 and 16. The drivers are demanding increase in payment.
