Odisha Vigilance Unearths DA Worth Crores During Raids At Balasore DEO Clerk’s Premises | Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Friday launched simultaneous searches at the properties linked to Pradeep Kumar Das, Junior Assistant at the Balasore District Education Office, following allegations that he amassed properties disproportionate to his known income.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Das and his family members:
- One triple-storied building with area approx. 3700 sqft. located at Angargadia in Balasore town.
- One two-storied market complex comprising 20 shops with total area approx. 4,000 sqft at Sergarh Bazar in Balasore worth over Rs 1 crore.
- Six high-value homestead plots in and around Balasore town.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above building/plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
- Bank, insurance & postal deposits and other investments etc. are being ascertained.
- Two two-wheelers
The searches are still underway and further report is awaited.
