Odisha Govt Suspends 2 Sub Registrars For Irregularities In Land Sale | Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Aryadeepta Aranyak Samantray, Sub-Registrar of Jagatpur, has been suspended for alleged irregularities in the sale of land.

According to an official press release, disciplinary action has been taken against him by the State government’s Revenue & Disaster Management Department.

Samantray will remain in the Cuttack District Collector’s office until the suspension is lifted. In addition, it is mentioned in the suspension order that no leave can be taken without permission.

Similarly, the Additional Tehsildar of Pipili Naba Kishore Patra, who is in charge of Sub-Registrar, has been suspended for alleged irregularities in land registration. Disciplinary action has been taken against him by the State government’s Revenue & Disaster Management Department.

Until the suspension is lifted, Patra will remain in the Puri Collector’s office. In addition, it is mentioned in the suspension order that no leave can be taken without permission.

It is worth mentioning here that on Tuesday Minister of Revenue and Disaster Management Suresh Pujari, during the review of the registration service, stressed the importance of transparency and respectable service delivery while directing strict action against registry or sub-registry officers indulging in dereliction of duty.
