New Delhi: The Ministry of Education announced the NIRF Rankings 2024 today, August 12. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings during an event at Shastri Bhawan. This year, the rankings were issued across 13 categories, including Pharmacy. Jamia Hamdard in Delhi stands tall at the first position as the best pharmacy college in India. The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad and Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) in Pilani, which ranked second and third, respectively. Last year, the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad claimed the top position, surpassing Jamia Hamdard in Delhi, which had previously held the first rank for four consecutive years. BITS Pilani also improved its ranking, securing third place. The JSS College of Pharmacy in Ooty and the Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.

The NIRF rankings were released for a total of 13 categories – Overall, Universities, Colleges, Research Institutions, Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Dental, Law, Architecture and Planning, Agriculture and Allied Sectors and Innovation. The NIRF ranking was prepared using five parameters.
