Nepalese pilgrims’ bus overturns in Bihar; 25 injured
Kathmandu, August 25 — A bus carrying Nepalese pilgrims met with an accident in India on Sunday morning. The incident occurred in Samastipur of Bihar.
The bus was traveling to the Bolbam pilgrimage from Murtipalia, Ward No. 3, Baragadhi Rural Municipality in Bara District, informed Ashok Kumar Jaishawal, Chairman of the rural municipality.
According to Indian media, the accident occurred on NH 28 in Samastipur. The bus, with the registration number Naa 7 Kha 6446, was reportedly hit by a truck, causing the bus’s axle to break and the vehicle to overturn.
At least 25 pilgrims were injured in the accident. The bus was carrying 43 passengers en route to Deoghar.
The injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment, with some receiving minor care and being discharged after treatment.
