New Delhi: Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda have joined IIM Ahmedabad. However, soon after she posted pictures from the campus and her teachers who helped her crack the CAT/IAT exams, the popular star kid became the talk of the town. For those who do not know, Navya has enrolled for the Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) which is quite different from IIM Ahmedabad’s flagship MBA course.
IIM Ahmedabad’s professor defends Navya Nanda
While the internet was busy deeming it as ‘not a real MBA’, a professor from IIM A, Promila Agarwal took to X (formerly Twitter) to opine on Navya’s acceptance into the prestigious institute. She wrote that Navya boasted ‘a solid CV’ and did not get in via any kind of quota. Notably, the professor even went on to defend the star kid and added, “For a long time, India has been debating why elite families move out of India for higher education. Why don’t they study in Indian colleges? One lady makes it to IIMA for an online MBA & everyone is worked up (sic).”

What was Navya Nanda’s CAT score?
As per Navya’s Instagram stories, the popular star kid prepared for the CAT/IAT exam with the help of her coaching institute. She even thanked them for their guidance and support in helping her ‘crack’ the exam. Interestingly, the course that she enrolled on is an online program that did not require a CAT score but an IAT entrance exam and an interview round.

On Sunday (September 1) night, Navya took to her Instagram handle to drop a post announcing that she was accepted into IIM Ahmedabad and wrote, “Dreams do come true !!!!!! The next 2 years… with the best people & faculty! Blended Post Graduate Programme (BPGP) Class of 2026 (sic).”
