Natung apprises Shah of interstate vigilance

NEW DELHI, 27 Aug: Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Mama Natung called on union Home Minister Amit Shah here on Monday and apprised him of the augmentation of vigilance at the interstate check gates of Arunachal in the wake of the political crisis in Bangladesh, and about the linking of Aadhaar numbers with e-ILPs.

Natung stressed that “fencing the international borders is of utmost priority for Arunachal to check infiltration, drug trafficking, insurgent activities, and cross-border movements.”

Natung also submitted the TCL Package 2.0 action plan, and iterated that “it is critical

 to consolidate TCL Package 1.0 to augment immediate additional capabilities of the state police to strengthen its resources and infrastructures already raised in TCL 1.0 package.”

The basic components in the revised TCL 2.0 proposal are infrastructure, mobility and equipment.

Shah gave assurance that he would look into the proposal submitted. (HM’s PR Cell)
