Nagaland receives Rs 51.90 crores under Article 275 (1)

Kohima, August 27 (MExN):The Government of Nagaland received a sum of Rs 51 crore 90 lakh from the Union Government as Grant-in-Aid for creation of Capital Assets in 2023-24 under Article 275(1) of the Indian Constitution, the State Assembly was informed on Tuesday.

Part of over Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) strategy, grants under Article 275(1) are additional to normal central assistance to the state plan. 

As per a written reply by Chief Minister and Minister-In-Charge of Tribal Affairs, Neiphiu Rio to queries posed by MLA Kuzholuzo Nienu, under the grant, a total of 52 projects were sanctioned in the 2023-24 fiscal across various locations in Nagaland.
