Mumbai Rains Live: heavy rain lashed parts of Mumbai city on Saturday morning, August 3, leading to severe waterlogging in several low-lying areas. Rain water inundated major routes which leads to heavy traffic jams. The city is set to witness a rise surge in rain activity in the upcoming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert. IMD has sounded an orange alert for Raigad district. Since the onset of the monsoon period in June, Santacruz station has been met with an impressive 2,052 mm of rainfall, in contrast, Colaba station during the same stretch of time has documented a slightly less but sizeable 1,912 mm of rain.
