The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) administration has decided to undertake the repair work of the old, dilapidated water main of Pali Hill Reservoir 1 in H West Division of the BMC. Also, the newly laid 750 mm diameter water main between Ramdas Naik Marg and Marg No. 32 on RK Patkar Marg in Bandra West will be commissioned. The related work will be done on Friday, August 30 between 10 am and 12 pm. As a result, water supply will be cut off to some areas within the H West Division office limits.
The BMC has taken up works to improve water supply in H West Division. Under this, works such as removal of dilapidated water channels, commissioning of new main water channels etc. will be done. After this work, the level of Pali Hill Reservoir will improve. Overall, there will be improvement in water supply in the H West region. Meanwhile, due to this repair work, the water supply will be interrupted in nearby areas, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marg, Khar Danda etc.

Citizens of the concerned area should store enough water. Also, water will be supplied at regular intervals after the repair work of the water channel is completed. As a precautionary measure after the water supply is restored, the municipal administration has appealed to filter and boil water for 4 to 5 days.
Water supply will be shut off in this area
- Some parts of Bandra West, Varoda Marg, Hill Road, Manual Gonsalves Marg, Pali Gaothan, Kantwadi, Sherli Rajan Marg (water supply will be shut off between 10 am to 2 pm)
- Khar Danda Constituency – Khar Danda Koliwada, Dandpada, Chuim Gaothan, parts of Khar West, parts of Ghazdarbandh slum (water supply will be shut off between 5.30 pm to 8.30 pm)
- Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marg area– Areas along Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marg, Paes Pali Gaothan, Pali Plateau, some parts of Khar West (water supply will be shut off between 9 pm and 12 pm)
