Mumbai-based startup Beco has raised $10 million in a pre-series B funding round led by Tanglin Venture Partners.

Founded in 2019 by Aditya Ruia, Ashkay Varma, and Anuj Ruia, the company supplies home and personal care items to retail stores in India and globally through e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Zepto.

Beco said the newly raised capital will be used through product development, increasing production capacity, expanding its offline sales network, and marketing.

Ruia said this round of funding from existing and new investors comes as the company prepares to enter its next phase of growth.

“The investors’ faith in Beco boosts our confidence that we are headed in the right direction, and we are excited to unleash the real potential,” he said.

Beco’s products are currently available in more than 10,000 retail stores in India. The company is also focusing on making its product range more sustainable.

“Over the last few years, there has been a marked shift in consumer preferences towards healthier, toxin-free options,” shared Gupta.

“We do not doubt that this company will continue to be at the forefront of innovation in this sector, and we are excited to be a part of this journey,” he concluded.
