The India Meteorological Department has informed that there will be isolated heavy rainfall likely over eastern and northeast India throughout this week. Moreover, similar weather conditions will be active in North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka for the next four days.

IMD announces orange alert for these regions:

The Met Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall in East Rajasthan, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe.

Heavy Rainfall Warning for Northwest India

Isolated heavy rainfall is predicted for Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and East Rajasthan from August 12 to August 17. Likewise, Chandigarh and Haryana are expected to have it from August 12 to August 15. A rainfall of high intensity is likely to occur over East Rajasthan today.

Moderate Rainfall forecast for Western and Central India

A widespread average shower is expected to happen in Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Gujarat, Goa, Konkan Kutch and Saurashtra for most of this week. Similar weather conditions will prevail in Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh and Vidharbha for the same period.

Southern, Northeast & Eastern India to have Heavy showers

The Weather Department has also released isolated heavy downpours that might take place over North Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Mahe, Kerala from August 12 to August 15. Rayalaseema is likely to experience it on August 14 and August 15.

A high intensity of rainfall is forecast over Bihar, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Assam from August 12 to August 17. Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will experience it from August 12 to August 14 and August 16. Gangetic West Bengal, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, and Tripura are likely to get it from August 14 to August 16. Odisha and Jharkhand might get it from August 13 to August 15.
