The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather bulletin indicating that Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are likely to experience heavy rainfall over the next four days. Meanwhile, the eastern and northwest regions are expected to face similar weather conditions for the next two days.

IMD issues orange alert for these states

The IMD has also issued an orange alert for heavy downpours in Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura.

Heavy Rainfall Warning for Northern Region

Isolated intense rainfall might occur over Uttarakhand on August 7, 9, and 10, West Uttar Pradesh will have it on August 7 and 8. The Weather Department has also indicated that heavy rainfall could be isolated over East Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand from Aug 7 to 12. Jammu-Kashmir, Haryana, Punjab, and Chandigarh will likely receive it on August 7 and 10.

IMD Forecast for extremely heavy showers for Western & Central India

An extremely heavy downpour is expected to happen over East Madhya Pradesh for today. The Met Department has also issued a warning for heavy rainfall at isolated places in Goa and Konkan from August 7 to August 11, Madhya Maharashtra will receive it from August 7 to August 12. A similar weather forecast is likely to take place in West Madhya Pradesh on August 7 and August 8, Chhattisgarh on August 7 and Gujarat region will get it on August 9 and 9.

Heavy rainfall predicted for Southern, Eastern & Northeast Region

A heavy rainfall warning has been issued by the Met Department at isolated places over Tripura, Manipur, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, and Nagaland from August 7 to August 10. Meghalaya and Assam will get it from August 7 to 12. Moreover, isolated heavy precipitation is likely to take place over Bihar from August 7 to August 11, and Odisha will have it from August 7 to 8. Likewise, Jharkhand is expected to have it on August 7 and 11, Sikkim and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal will get it on from August 7 to August 10. There is also a high chance that the southern region of India will also witness the same weather pattern. Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Yanam will experience heavy rains at isolated places on August 7.
