Gandhinagar: A man took to Reddit to acknowledge the kindness of strangers in Ahmedabad. He stated that he got stuck on the road after water entered the filter of his scooter. Fortunately, he was lucky enough to meet people who readily and unexpectedly came to his rescue. The post garnered the reactions of several people. They were keen to speak of their experiences in Ahmedabad and other cities.

“Today was quite a day. I got stuck several times while riding my Activa because water entered the filter, and I couldn’t start the engine. At different points, several people stopped to help,” wrote the man. He stated that his two-wheeler broke down in front of a mechanic shop. Luckily, an auto guy agreed to drop him home though it was just 300 meters. The man said that he was so happy that he paid him extra.

Further, the man claimed that he had been living in Bengaluru for a while and would not have expected a helping attitude from auto drivers in the city. He concluded the post stating, “Feeling really grateful today.”

The netizen stated, “I am from Delhi, I stayed in Ahmedabad for 2 years. I have noticed their kindness, one time it rained so there were water puddles everywhere, I was walking on a dirt road, a bike literally stopped for me to cross the puddle. Once I was buying some vegetables, an aunty came an suggested which ones are better and will last longer. In Delhi, that bike would have gone in full speed splashing water on me and any aunty would have filled her bag with better vegetables.”

Another stated, “Indeed a large number of people are very sweet and helpful here.” Many joined to laud the people of Ahmedabad for their helping mentality.
