Maintenance works: Train services, including Mangaluru – Chennai Egmore Express, to be disrupted

Chennai: The Southern Railway has notified that several train services in the Chennai Division will be disrupted due to the remodelling of Tambaram Yard for engineering and signalling upgrades.

Train services, including the Mangaluru Central – Chennai Egmore Express, relied by Kerala commuters will be affected. The present notification specifies change in the pattern of services until July 31.

Train No. 16160 Mangaluru Central – Chennai Egmore Express will be short-terminated at Tiruchchirappalli until July 31, meaning the service is partially cancelled between Tiruchchirappalli and Chennai Egmore.

Train No. 16159 Chennai Egmore – Mangaluru Central Express will originate from Tiruchchirappalli until July 31, meaning the service is partially cancelled between Chennai Egmore and Tiruchchirappalli.

It may be noted that both of these services run via the Kerala rail stretch and have halts at Manjeshwar, Kumbla, Kasaragod, Kotikulam, Kanhangad, Nileshwar, Charvattur, Payyanur, Payangadi, Kannapuram, Kannur, Thalassery, Mahe, Vadakara, Quilandi, Kozhikode, Ferok, Kadalundi, Parpanangadi, Tanur, Tirur, Kuttippuram, Pattambi, Shoranur Junction, Ottappalam, and Palakkad Junction.
