District Magistrate Arvind Mallapa issued an official order directing the closure of all primary, upper primary, secondary, CBSE, ICSE board-recognised schools.
In preparation for the Kanwar Yatra 2024, all schools and colleges in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district will remain closed from July 26 to August 2. District Magistrate Arvind Mallapa issued an official order directing the closure of all primary, upper primary, secondary, CBSE, ICSE board-recognised schools, madrasas, degree colleges, DIET, and technical institutes during this period.
Similar measures have been implemented in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar district where schools from class 1 to 12, along with Anganwadi centres, will remain closed from July 27 to August 2 in light of the ongoing Kanwar fair.
Furthermore, to ensure the safety of students during the Kanwar Yatra, authorities in Varanasi, Indore, and Ujjain have modified school schedules. Schools in these districts will observe a weekly closure on Mondays throughout the season and instead conduct classes on Sundays.
