K-RIDE issues tender for Corridor 1A

Within a week of inviting tenders for Corridor 4 (including Corridors 4A and 4B), K-RIDE, the agency managing the Bengaluru Suburban Rail Project, has issued a tender for Corridor 1A. This segment connects KSR Bengaluru City to Yelahanka, with an estimated value of Rs 1,422 crores (excluding GST).

The official stated, “Corridor 1, also known as the Sampige line, is the Airport Corridor of the project, linking KSR Bengaluru to Devanahalli and BIAL Airport. The 41 km corridor is split into two packages: C1A, from Bengaluru City to Yelahanka (18 km), and C1B, from Yelahanka to Devanahalli (approximately 23 km).

The tender includes designing and constructing a 14.5 km elevated viaduct, 3.5 km at-grade formation, seven-station buildings, one road overbridge, and associated works. The deadline for submission is October 9, 2024. Tenders for Corridor 2 and Corridor 4 have been awarded to M/s Larsen & Toubro.”
