Jasprit Bumrah is currently on an international break. He was a part of Indian team that won the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados.


Jasprit Bumrah was given a grand entry at a college event in Chennai.

New Delhi: Jasprit Bumrah wooed the crowd at the Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology in Chennai with his grand entry, the video of which went viral on social media. Currently on a break from international cricket, Bumrah visited the fresher’s day amid huge cheers from the students in the crowd.

In the video that Bumrah shared on his Instagram, the pacer arrived at the campus in a luxurious car and was welcomed by the officials of the college. He was then taken to the office of the college where Bumrah signed a miniature bat along with some tennis balls.

Post that, the Indian pacer was given a grand entry in a truly bollywood style and also walked the ramp. Bumrah was also felicitated by the college authorities and an audio visual of his T20 World Cup heroics was also played. He also shook hands with some of the students in the audience and also threw the signed balls into the crowd.

Bumrah captioned the video, “The energy and enthusiasm of the crowd made it truly unforgettable! Thank you @sathyabama.official and Chancellor @mariazeena_johnson for the warm welcome and vibrant atmosphere!.” For the occasion, Bumrah chose to wear a smoky blue half-sleeve shirt and a pair of grey trousers.

Bumrah was last seen in Indian jersey during the T20 World Cup 2024 in USA and West Indies where he played a vital role in Men in Blue’s triumphant campaign. During the T20 World Cup, Bumrah played eight matches and took 15 wickets. He was also awarded with the Player of the Series award. Meanwhile, the Indian pacer is likely to be rested in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh to keep him fresh for the Border Gavaskar Trophy against Australia.
