Jamshedpur, July 27: Excitement is building as two sets of Vande Bharat rakes have been stationed in Chakradharpur, sparking anticipation for an official announcement. The new Vande Bharat Express is expected to run from Tatanagar (Tata) to Puri and Tata-Patna route. A total of two rakes for each route are awaiting deployment, with the Railway Board planning to announce several Vande Bharat trains simultaneously. MP Bidyut Baran Mahato has confirmed that the Railways are taking steps to improve connectivity, with the review of all necessary points completed. The Railway Board’s announcement is awaited to finalize the dates.
To manage the increasing passenger traffic, the duration of several special trains has been extended. The Santragachhi-Puri Special will now run till 25th October, the Puri-Santragachhi Special till 26th October, the Bhanjpur-Puri Special till 31st October, the Puri-Bhanjpur Special till 1st November, the Shalimar-Bhanjpur Special till 31st October, the Bhanjpur-Shalimar Special till 2nd November, the Shalimar-Puri Special till 27th October, the Puri-Shalimar Special till 28th October, the Santragachhi-Digha Special till 26th October, the Digha-Santragachhi Special till 27th October, the Tatanagar-Varanasi Special till 29th August, the Varanasi-Tatanagar Special till 29th August, the Howrah-Yesvantpur Special till 15th August, and the Yesvantpur-Howrah Special till 17th August.
Currently, the only Vande Bharat Express from Tatanagar operates between Ranchi and Howrah. Railway officials have refrained from commenting further, indicating that they are still awaiting the board’s order.
