Iqra Hasan, SP MP from Kairana, demands direct train from Shamli to Vaishno Devi: Watch viral video
In her debut speech in Lok Sabha on the fourth day of the monsoon session, Iqra Hasan, Samajwadi Party Member of Parliament from Kairana, Uttar Pradesh, requested to the Railway Ministry to start direct train services from Shamli to Vaishno Devi and from Shamli to Prayagraj. She highlighted Prayagraj’s connectivity due to the presence of Uttar Pradesh’s High Court in the city and also called for improved connectivity to Vaishno Devi. Additionally, she mentioned that the Panipat-Kairana-Meerut railway line had undergone several surveys but the work on this route had not yet commenced. She emphasized the importance of this railway route, which connects Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
During her election campaign, Iqra Hasan had stated that if elected, she would work for the welfare of the entire community. True to her promise, in her first speech, she addressed issues pertinent to the public. Iqra Hasan, with her education from Delhi and London, defeated BJP’s Pradeep Kumar in Kairana by a margin of approximately 70,000 votes.
“I request the central government to start direct trains from Shamli to Vaishno Devi and Shamli to Prayagraj. This will improve connectivity as Prayagraj hosts the High Court for Uttar Pradesh and better connect Vaishno Devi,” Iqra Hasan requested in her speech.
“The Panipat, Kairana, Meerut rail route has been surveyed multiple times but work has not started. This railway route is crucial for connecting Uttar Pradesh and Haryana,” she added.
Her appeal reflected her commitment to addressing broad societal issues, demonstrating her dedication to serving all communities.
