Indian Railways introduces high-quality linens to enhance passengers’ travel experience – Take a look – Railways News

Indian Railways on Wednesday (August 14) informed that it has launched a new line of premium ultra-soft linens designed to enhance passenger comfort. The new collection, featuring breathable fabrics and improved durability, aims to provide a superior travel experience.

According to the Northern Railway’s post on X, the linens have been developed through extensive research and collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards and are sourced from globally recognised brands. 

“These linens have been designed after rigorous R&D by Indian Railways in consultation with the Bureau of Indian Standards and sourced from world-renowned brands for providing unparalleled comfort and refreshing travel experience for passengers at par with the hospitality industry,” the Northern Railway said in a post on X.

Ranchi Rajdhani first to feature new premium linens

The new linens are first introduced on the Ranchi Rajdhani Express on August 14 and are set to debut on the Bilaspur Rajdhani Express from August 17. This initiative will be trialed initially, with further implementation depending on passenger feedback, the Northern Railway noted.

“This is being done on a trial basis for now and will be proliferated based on the feedback received from passengers,” the Northern Railway said. 

The new linens are soft on the skin, highly absorbent, and crafted from 100% combed cotton. They feature breathable fabric and a long-lasting fragrance.
