Indian Railways: Engine, two bogies of Bihar Sampark Kranti Express train detach from other coaches in Samastipur – Railways News
A major disaster was narrowly averted on Monday (July 29) when the engine and two bogies of the Bihar Sampark Kranti Express became detached from the rest of the train in Samastipur district, according to officials.
The incident occurred around 10 am between Khudiram Bose and Karpoori Gram railway stations. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Rail traffic disrupted on Samastipur route
Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of East Central Railway, Sharswati Chandra, informed that the incident briefly disrupted train traffic on the route.

He also said that the train was traveling at a slow speed when the detachment occurred. The train resumed its journey after approximately an hour once the bogies were reattached.
“The Bihar Sampark Kranti Express was moving at a slow speed when this happened. After about an hour, the train restarted its journey after reconnecting the bogies,” Chandra said.
He stated that a team of experts would investigate the cause of the detachment.
