IGL Q1 sales volume up 5.3%, net profit at Rs 401.45 crore – ET EnergyWorld

New Delhi: Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the largest CNG distribution company in India, reported a 5.3% increase in overall sales volume for the first quarter of FY’25, ending June 2024. The average daily sales rose from 8.20 mmscmd to 8.64 mmscmd, the company said.

CNG sales volume grew by 4.6%, while PNG saw a 7.4% rise compared to the corresponding quarter last year. The total gross sales value for the quarter reached Rs 3,877.12 crore, marking a 3.6% increase from Rs 3,742.31 crore in the same period last fiscal.

Net profit for Q1 FY’25 stood at Rs 401.45 crore, down from Rs 438.50 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. However, there was a sequential rise in net profit from Rs 379.58 crore in Q4 of FY 23-24 to Rs 401.45 crore in Q1 of FY 24-25. These figures represent standalone results for IGL and do not include profits from associate companies.

IGL has well laid out its city gas distribution infrastructure in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Rewari, Gurugram, Karnal, Kaithal, Fatehpur, Ajmer, Pali, Rajsamand, Hamirpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Banda, and parts of Kanpur and Meerut, consisting of more than 20,000 km of pipeline network. IGL is meeting the fuel requirements of over 1.7 million vehicles running on CNG through a network of 882 CNG stations. IGL has connected over two million households in these cities with PNG.
